How to secure your wireless network without username and password?
Q. I want to be able to sure my wireless network. Right now, Its unprotected and i have a feeling my neighbors are using it. Its kind of slow sometimes when it should be fast. I may be able to recall the password If I know the username. Now the question is where can I check the username of the wireless system. Is my router's nickname same as username?

A. The name you see when you search for wifi is the router name, but the security code is different. The Username and password to get into the router control panel should be in the router manual, but it is usually admin admin or admin password. To get into the router control panel, get on a computer already connected to YOUR wifi and type 192.168.0.1 into the browser's url bar. If that doesn't work try 192.168.1.1. Now you can change the security code. You can't see you old security code, but you can now change it to something else. Write this down and tape it to the router. Now you can use the new code to get onto the internet. P.S. You will need to change it on your old laptop too if you want to ever use that.

Q. I don't have my own internet and have been connecting to local networks to browse the web and stuff. I would like to play Co D MW2, but the router nat type is strict, so i cant connect to any online games. How can i find out someone's router username and pass so i can go in and change the nat type?

A. That's so wrong. You are stealing someone's Internet access and you want to hack their router. Wow. This is the Entitlement Society. They're paying for Internet access and you're using it for free and it's not enough. Geez. That being said, your best bet is to figure out what brand of router it is (look up the MAC address) and check the default password from that manufacturer's web site.

It's talking about the username and password on your itunes account - it will always prompt for this even if you are downloading a free app - it makes it easier to keep track of what you have, in the event you ever need to restore the ipod. If you go in itunes to the itunes store, there should be a "forgot my username/password" link.

Q. You see the thing is my brother got one of them computers the government gave out. It has Net intelligence installed it and it was up and working at the beginning but now our username and password was accidentally thrown out. Q. In the username box all I have to do is put the first letter of my username and it comes up. I have 3 other people that borrow my computer that start with the same letter. For Firefox, go to tools, then options, security, passwords. Uncheck remember passwords for sites. For your own Click Tools, then click Internet Options. At the top click content, go to auto complete and click settings then forms. Click Apply and Ok. For Firefox, click Tools, then click options, click security then passwords. Also sign out when you are finished every time.
